About Southampton
The University of Southampton is made up of 5 closely connected campuses located on the edge of Southampton Common – the city’s largest open space.
Southampton is a maritime city situated on England’s south coast with excellent transport links. Bursting with culture, it was shortlisted to be the UK’s City of Culture 2025. The city is known for its exceptional shopping and leisure facilities, exciting events, and vibrant night life – making it a fantastic place to study. It provides easy access to the south coast’s beaches and is the closest city to the New Forest National Park.
The University offers a range of award-winning facilities to enhance your learning experience. The Hartley Library is one of the leading research libraries in the UK, home to a state-of-the-art Learning Centre. It houses both the Law Collection and the Ford Collection of Parliamentary Papers and offers extensive subscriptions to legal databases. Southampton has a brilliant student community – you’ll have access to over 300 societies and their Students’ Union, SUSU.
As a student at this campus, you will have access to The University of Law’s Employability Service which offers a huge range of support, including events and activities to prepare you for the world of employment. Our dedicated employability team can help you to obtain work experience and pro bono opportunities to help boost your CV and career.

staffMEET THE DEAN
Aruna has an LLB Hons and studied her LPC at Ulaw Guildford. She began teaching in 2008. Aruna is a qualified Solicitor working predominantly in litigation. In 2019, Aruna was seconded to Hong Kong to set up the first international Campus. She enjoys developing international activities and non-standard programmes such as summer schools.
